The SPU Art Department is pleased to present the 2022 Senior Studio + Visual Arts Exhibition, RESISTANCE

This culmination of study features individual projects by students Hans Amor, Alaysja Clark, Rachael Fasano and Lily Morgan. These thoughtful and compelling works present a range of material approaches, including painting, sculpture, video, audio, and animation.

Please join us for an in person public reception with refreshments this Thursday (tomorrow) April 28 – 5-7 pm at SPAC Gallery in the Seattle Pacific Art Center. The exhibition will be on view from April 25-May 6.

“Any act in the times we live in can be seen as an act of resistance; art itself is resistance. The work in this show is a push and pull of the personal and the political, and everywhere they intersect. Rejecting snark and sarcasm, these works embrace candor and authenticity, leaning into the discomfort of serious subjects.”   -Lauren Boilini, exhibition curator.

The SPU Art Department is pleased to kick off our 2022 Senior Exhibition series with our Photography/Digital Media Senior Exhibition PSYCHE. This culmination of study features individual photography projects by students Emma Benningfield, Daisy Han and Camilla Hansen.

After enduring the challenge of 2 years of online education, these students have emerged with inquisitive and sensitive projects that consider the relationship of our minds and bodies to time, the built environment and personal history.

Please join us for an in person public reception with refreshments this Thursday April 7 – 5-7 pm at SPAC Gallery in the Seattle Pacific Art Center. The exhibition will be on view from April 6-20. View more takes on the exhibition Instagram @psyche_seniorshow
