Israel Branham

Bio

Israel Branham earned a BA in Art with a minor in 3D Media in 2020. Originally from the east coast, he is an interdisciplinary artist who enjoys working with everyday objects and materials, as well as the process of mastering mediums that derive from humble sources. He enjoys behind-the-scenes collaboration to accomplish creative projects.

Artist Statement

Up to this point, my work has been an effort to balance open-ended evolution with stability and timelessness. My art making has been a lengthy process toward not only acquiring skill, but also accepting imperfection and change.

I tend to make sculpture that explores spatial experiences and visual oddities at a small scale. Overall, I approach art/making with the curiosity and wonder that I carry from my early years as an earthling, ‘making for making’s sake’. If along the way, I encourage others to look at the world in ways otherwise unconsidered – then what a welcome pleasure!
