Artist Statement
Taylor Younker is a digital storyteller and creates narratives throughout her work. She emphasizes color and pattern in her pieces to illustrate different moods, and often combines her skills of graphic design and illustration to create interesting mixed pieces. Inspired by old-school design, retro animation, and with her time as an illustrator before switching to Visual Communications, she creates artwork that is unique and different every time. She uses many artists such as April Greiman, Takashi Murakami, John Contino, and Leta Sobierajski as motivation for her work and tries to implement old-school and modern looks in her pieces.
