¡Vamos! 2021 Studio + Visual Art Senior Exhibition was guest curated by artist and theologian Maria Fee.
¡Vamos! Let’s go! Whether as a phrase of invitation or bidding, vamos signifies a collective, a connection with another, a prompt to move on together. As an exhibition, ¡Vamos! is a proposal for others to consider the folding and unfolding of life, its construction and reconstruction by some creative people in the midst of pandemic challenges. On display are their queries and quests, refuge building and people capturing, handcraft meditations and digitally enhanced preoccupations. All of it declares: ¡Vamos! Come and enter into a new landscape that is scary and delightful, measured and emboldened. ¡Vamos! is also a compilation of visual encouragements to trek into the future. So, put on the sneakers, grab the hoodie, and vamos.
